Perdido Street Station by China Mieville Actually, the book I read was Un Lun Dun by China Mieville; I couldn't find it on Goodreads. This was a wonderful read. Great themes, fun plot twists, interesting characters (almost too many to remember), clever use of language, and a satisfying ending. I'm interested to try more by China Mieville. Random Harvest.

So interesting to see the Speech/Language/Cognitive/Attention/Memory deficits enacted by the protagonist in the movie 'Random Harvest.' Love the ingenue. She's a fabulous speech language pathologist :)

A phonological what?

What's a phonological process, you say? It's basically a pattern that a kid uses to make speech a little bit easier. And no, it's not like the adult representation, but yes, it does make sense-- to them. And it will make sense to you too, if you can only crack the code!! Here are a few common phonological processes: Consonant cluster reduction Weak syllable deletion Stopping Fronting Many kids do use phonological processes at some point in their development. Stay tuned for more information about these patterns and what to do about them!!!!
