Paper Bag Princess



We enjoyed reading this book today; it was suggested by 1st grader (code name:'spelling queen') after we read 'Raising Dragons,' in order to continue the dragon theme. Here are a few words we liked:

I think he should have said, "My dearest darling beloved brave Elizabeth, you have saved my life, and I cannot live without you! Let me adorn your finger with this token of my love, and with all-consuming alacrity here pledge my troth."

Disability Pride Awareness Month!

It's disability pride awareness month! Celebrate by reading one of the books suggested by the New York Public Library. I am reading Paperboy by Vince Vawter about a boy who stutters. I love the book, and I identify with the story of a boy who is misunderstood because of his disability. Prayers for everyone who has a disability and may have been misunderstood or mischaracterized because of it, and prayers for all those who work with people who have disabilities.
